Got rid of the typical dnn spinup lag with a quick C# windows service to do a keepalive ping (remember when windows services took more than 30 seconds to write and install?) and decided to switch off the old site before march 1st.
still some old pages that show ascx and asp.net controls inline ... a minor drag of dnn being that those aren't just simple files anymore and have to have modules created but what the heck. Besides, these days knowing asp.net's insides aren't as hip as knowing how to set properties on a 3rd party AJAX widget so maybe their time was done anyway ;-)
Now the real key... putting in the java and actionscript stuff that I don't want to forget.
And then there's Mars...
